Fujian Dongshan Economic Development Zone. Established in 1993,it is the Department of National Economic and Technological Development Zone which is located at the southernmost of Fujian Province,the distance from development zone to Taiwan Gaoxiong and Hongkong are 141 sea mile and 210 sea miles respectively.Planning area 14.13 square kilometer,developed area 6.66 square kilometer,to the end of 2010,the development zone has invested 1.222 billion yuan for infrastructure construction.Dongshan boast a national first-grade open port at Dongshan harbour,it is one the nearest port between mainland and Taiwan.The 5000-ton class freight terminal has been build up,Supporting infrastructure construction is consummate,so it provides a favorable development platform for projects in the development zone.Now,384 projects have settled,total investment 1.475 billion dollars,glass material, marine products processing, marine products industry cluster initially formed.In 2010,the Gross Output Value of Industrial amount to ￥4.581 billion,earn foreign exchange $441 million,the fiscal revenues amount to 237 million yuan.
