　　Gulei Peninsula is located between two Special Economic Zones of Xiamen and Shantou.It is the petrochemical base on the Western Coast of the Taiwan Straits,it’s also the only one Taiwan Petrochemical Industry Zone of China in May,2010.
　　Total planning area of Gulei Economic Zone are 278 square kilometers,in which Taiwanese Petrochemical Industry Zone are 115.9 square kilometers,it divided into six functional districts as petrochemical industry zone, equipment manufacture zone , harbour logistics zone,large-scale communal storage zone,reserved development zone and ecological control zone.The general scale of petrochemical industry development are yearly processing 50 million tons of crude oil,50 million tons of ethene and 41 million tons of PX.
